The Wetterhorn Snowshoe Adventure is a breathtaking winter journey along an easy-to-moderate trail with postcard-worthy views at every turn. Beginning in the storybook mountain village of Grindelwald, the marked path winds gently uphill through peaceful alpine meadows and snow-covered forests, leading you closer to the mighty Wetterhorn. Along the way, you’ll catch glimpses of the Upper Grindelwald Glacier, the First ski area, and several iconic Swiss peaks — including the legendary Eiger. The loop finishes at the Wetterhorn car park, wrapping up a magical winter outing you’ll remember long after the snow melts.

Snowshoeing is just hiking in a place you wouldn't otherwise be able to go. The fresh air, the mountain views, and the quiet create a meditative tranquility that can't be beat. And just when you think it might be too peaceful for you, you start going downhill. It's part run, part fall that feels like skiing in slow-motion. And our guide handed out chocolate as a snack. I couldn't recommend this any more, just dress in layers, because it's possible to get too warm.
