Winter paragliding in Interlaken
Fly over a winter wonderland
Yes, paragliding in winter in Interlaken is possible! And it’s absolutely fabulous! Wrapped up in cozy clothes, you marvel at the snow-covered Swiss Alps from the air. Turquoise blue Lake Thun and Lake Brienz glisten against the white snowy mountains and everything is just…WOW! MAGIC!
We love paragliding in winter because:
- snow mountains as far as the eye can see
- fly over a winter wonderland
- the air is cold, clear and fresh
- the pale winter sun shines on your face
- warming up afterwards is twice as cozy

Let's get your little winter adventure started
After a 20 minute bus ride up Beatenberg, we walk to the launch site. While your pilot prepares everything for takeoff, you have the opportunity to take photos and videos of the breathtaking view. The panorama is impressive at any time of the year, but in winter the Swiss Alps show their magical side. After a safety briefing by your pilot, you’re ready to go! One, two, three, run… and you’ll take off. During the 10 to 20 minute flight you can sit back, enjoy and let your soul dangle. Afterwards you land gently in the center of Interlaken.

Everything you need to know when you go paragliding in winter
To make your special winter adventure as smooth as possible, we have compiled the following “good to know” points:
What should you wear?
During a paragliding flight in winter it can get quite cold. Therefore, it is important to dress properly. As for all winter outdoor activities, the onion or layer principle proves itself here as well. Wear several layers on top of each other rather than single very thick garments. We definitely recommend a warm, windproof jacket, warm pants and gloves. Since there might be snow at the launch site, you should wear good, ankle-high shoes. If you don’t have these things, you can also borrow them from us for free.
What to bring
- Warm windproof jacket
- Warm pants
- Gloves
- Good shoes (e.g. hiking boots)
- Beanie
- Sunglasses
